World Forestry Day or International Day of Forests is celebrated worldwide every year on 21st of March. In 2012 the UN General Assembly declared 21 March as the International Day of Forests. The day is celebrated to raised awareness about the importance of forest and how help to balance the ecosystems on the earth.
The organizers are the United Nations Forum on Forests and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with Governments, the Collaborative Partnership on Forests and other relevant organizations in the field.
